ProCredit Bank is the official partner of the 3rd Odessa International Korneychukovsky Children’s Literature Festival and the 19th “Green Wave” International Book Fair – one of the hallmark Ukrainian book forums for readers, publishers, authors and booksellers. The fair offers a wide array of literary genres: fiction, education, popular science, specialised and children’s literature as well as periodicals and prints.

Between 6 – 9 August, the famous Deribasovskaya Street becomes home for a variety of events such as literary soirees, presentations of books, meetings with writers, roundtable discussions, book competitions, theatre and musical shows.

It is no coincidence that ProCredit Bank partakes in the Green Wave Fair. Over the years, ProCredit Bank has been actively promoting a savings culture. The level of financial literacy is contingent on the educational background where literature, be it textbooks, popular science or fiction, has a critical part to play. It is the booklore that keeps us forging ahead. By participating in the Green Wave Fair ProCredit Bank is taking part in Ukraine’s cultural life. In its 15 years of operating in Ukraine ProCredit Bank has opened over 70 personal exhibitions of Ukrainian artists. In addition, the bank is the partner of the New German Film Festival.

As a modern European financial institution, ProCredit Bank makes a responsible and environmentally friendly approach to doing business. Bank-wide paper, water and electricity consumption control and use of energy efficiency technologies are part of the systematic efforts to minimise the environmental footprint. All buyers of books at the Green Wave Fair will receive handy organic cotton bags as a gift from ProCredit Bank. In this way, ProCredit Bank aims to persuade the visitors to stop using plastic carrier bags, which are one of the main sources of pollution in urban areas.
