ProCredit School
In autumn 2008, ProCredit Bank opened ProCredit School – a new project, launched within the framework of the bank’s financial education initiatives − targeted at helping pupils from years 2-4 find their bearings in the challenging and complex world of finance and banking. The annual training course comprises nine lessons, covering such topics as: the history of money and the origins of banking, loans, the importance of savings, payment cards, and the role banks play in a country's economy. Training sessions are held once or twice a month and, at the end of the course, pupils get a “Young Banker” certificate.
The ProCredit School project involves 3,000 pupils from 72 schools. We are confident that this initiative will help children take reasonable financial decisions in the future. Moreover, these sessions are obviously highly enjoyable for everyone involved.
